Marshmallow Pops

It's the weekend before Halloween and I love the pops craze right now so I wanted to make some marshmallow pops! I was planning on making my marshmallows but I didn't have enough sugar, and of coarse you need a lot of sugar for marshmallows! Fortunately, I had a bag of mallows in my pantry so I decided to cheat a little! I got out my coating chocolates, white and dark, along with sprinkles, chopped almonds, crushed pretzels, and some graham crumbs.

While going through my cupboards, trying to figure out what I could use to put the toppings in so that I could easily roll them to coat, I found some old corn plates. They were perfect!! It was even super easy to put the sprinkles back into the little jar!

There are Pretzel, Rocky Road, Sprinkles and S'mores Pops all with dark chocolate and then I added a little orange food color to dye the white chocolate and finished them off with Halloween sprinkles.

YUM!!

I stored them easily in my extra tall cake carrier.

I hope you enjoy the pictures! Hopefully my guests will enjoy the pops tomorrow night!!

It's been a while since I updated, so I'll make it up to you! It was cookies this week! Woke up bright and early this Saturday morning to a text from my mom asking to go to the Goat Hill Antique Fair, in the Santa Cruz mountains. I wanted to make sure I worked on a few recipes before we went, so I threw on my apron and pulled out my mixer! I was able to make Sugar and Chocolate Chip cookies before we left. The fair was so cool, there weren't many food booths, mostly antique furniture and handmade items. I did pick up two jars of jam, peach brandy and strawberry lemonade. I'm so excited to try them, if only I had bread at my house!

When I got home a few hours later, I still wanted to make Oatmeal Raisin cookies and try out my chocolate cupcake recipe again. I didn't have raisins but I had cranberries, which I personally favor to raisins. I baked everything off and tried them one by one, and I can't express how delicious everything was!

They came out beautifully this time!

My brother helped me out one day and snapped this shot of me working on my Cinnacakes.

Apple Pie, Vanilla Cheesecake and Brownies!

I did these over a few days, so I'm just catching up on my posting. These items are all test runs for my menu, so I guess this is a little sneak peak as well! I made a few of the "travel size" apple pies for a tasting, some with brown sugar and some with granulated sugar. Curious which was the favored? Well you will just have to wait and see! : )

The cheesecake is delicious! I just got some vanilla paste and extract from The Vanilla Company, I used their Tahitian beans in this cheesecake. The texture was fantastic! It's smooth and creamy and the yummy crunch from the graham crust is always my favorite part!

And amazing delicious Chocolate Brownies... enough said right? When my younger brother tasted them today, he was literally speechless and did an odd groan/moan thing... haha it was great! Best compliment ever!

Chocolate Ganache Ice Cream

I was inspired to make this because I had some leftover ganche. Once I got into the kitchen though, I decided to start fresh! I threw my ice cream canister into the freezer and ran to the market for some chocolate and cream. Once my base was ready, I put it in the fridge to cool down before spinning it but I realized my ice cream canister wasn't going to be ready for a long time! So once I got home from work today I churned it, after about 25 minutes it was ready! It's in the freezer right now and I'm taking it to my parents house for an after dinner treat! I am SO excited to taste it!! I may even treat them and bring over some waffle cone cookies! hehe... after writing this blog, I might go steal a taste!

White Chocolate Cream Cheese Mousse Pie

Long name, I know, but trust me each word is crucial in this one. Even better, each ingredient flavor shines with each bite! The crumbly crust adds the perfect crunch to this smooth mousse. I folded in some chocolate curls for an added element and then topped it off with sweetened whipped cream and more curls right before serving.
